Neeraj Kumar (They/Them)

My work is situated within anti-oppressive, feminist, queer-affirmative, and anti-caste frameworks.

With 10 years of experience, I have worked with clients across diverse global contexts, employing an integrative approach and psychodynamic psychotherapy approach, with ongoing group and individual supervision as a core component of my clinical practice.

In addition to therapeutic work, I have developed and facilitated training programs on crisis intervention, foundational counseling skills, queer-affirmative modalities, and anti-oppressive frameworks.

I am a co-author of Trans Affirmative Mental Health Care Guidelines: Result of Mixed Method Inquiry in Three Cities of India (Centre for Health and Mental Health, School of Social Work, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai), reflecting my engagement with research-informed practice. In addition, I served as a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Psychology at Ashoka University from September 2023 to May 2025.
