Sarayu Narayan (She/her)

I am a mental health worker and a fellow in the Embodied Social Justice in Mental Health fellowship at Pause for Perspective.

I hold an MA in Applied Psychology degree from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. I have previously worked as a mental health researcher and therapist. I currently work with adults in individual therapy. I am queer affirmative, neurodivergent affirmative and trauma informed, and draw from eclectic approaches in therapy. Some of the concerns I work with include those related to anxiety, self-esteem and body image, interpersonal and workplace concerns, exploring neurodivergence and queerness, to name a few.

In my therapeutic work, I aim to co-create a space with clients where they feel witnessed and supported in their realities. My practice is rooted in a systemic, non-pathologizing and justice-oriented lens.

I am fluent in English, Hindi and Malayalam.  Outside of work, you would find me engrossed in music, cooking and exploring new places.
